What We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to provide the Service and keep it running smoothly.

Account Information: Your email address and name when you sign up.

Proposal Content: The proposals, documents, and related content you create within ProposalCraft.

Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We never store your credit card number directly.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Service to help us understand how people use ProposalCraft and where to improve.

Browser Fingerprint: We generate a browser fingerprint to enforce rate limits on the free plan and prevent abuse. This is used for anti-fraud purposes, not advertising.

Technical Data: IP address, user agent, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you access the Service.

How We Use Your Data

• Provide the Service: Store your proposals, process e-signatures, and handle payments
• Enforce Rate Limits: Use browser fingerprints and IP addresses to manage free plan usage and prevent abuse
• Prevent Abuse: Detect and block fraudulent or malicious activity
• Send Transactional Emails: Magic link logins, payment confirmations, signature notifications, and account updates
• Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to build better features and fix problems

We don't sell your data. We don't use your proposal content for advertising. We don't share your information with data brokers.

Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted providers to deliver the Service:

• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe Privacy Policy

• Resend — Transactional email delivery (magic links, notifications). Resend Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, and edge computing. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.

Cookies and Local Storage

We don't use traditional tracking cookies.

We use localStorage in your browser to:

• Store your authentication token (so you stay logged in)
• Save proposal drafts (so you don't lose work if the page refreshes)
• Remember UI preferences

This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to third parties.

Data Retention

Active Accounts: We keep your account data and proposals as long as your account is active.

Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and proposals within 30 days. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics.

Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data longer if required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal data
• Export: Download your proposals and account data

Children

ProposalCraft is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover we've collected data from someone under 18, we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email or by placing a notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
